As social media continues to grow, an increasing number of people are using it for much more than connecting with old friends.  Before deciding which agent to use, many homeowners are turning to the internet to see who has the biggest online presence.

The reality is social media can create a buzz about your home with little effort.  There are so many tools available to help automate social media posting; it is becoming easier for people of all ages to utilize social media to their advantage.

One of the newest tools available to help with social media is Buffer.  It was created to help individuals and businesses alike simplify managing their social media accounts.  If you have never heard about Buffer, I want to encourage you to check it out!  As a Marketing & Communications Director, it helps keep our team involved on multiple social media platforms without requiring me to spend hours on social media.

I'm all about giving tips and insights to help people become more savvy. Whether you are an agent, a homeowner, or just someone looking to make a buzz on social media, I've got some tips to help you do just that!

1.  Make your social media content relevant to your audience:  There is a way to advertise your business without posting the same ole boring post that every other person on social media is posting.

2.  Use video:  More people see your posts if you include video.  Think about it like this, how many people post on social media daily?  How many posts do you actually read?  Personally, I keep scrolling until something catches my eyes; usually pictures and video will catch my attention and keep my attention for much longer than a wordy post

3.  Be Genuinely You:  People don't relate to perfect!  People want to see your normal, everyday life.  If you go fishing, have kids, go for a walk, are on vacation, etc....People want to be a part of your life.  Your social media accounts allow people to get a glimpse into your life.
