"Removing Newsprint from Surfaces"

If you've ever left a newspaper on a damp surface, you know that the ink stains that are left behind can be a real pain to get rid of. But with baking soda, it's easy. Make a paste with baking soda and a little water and rub gently until the stain disappears.

"Freshen Your Car"

If you don't smoke, there's an even better use for your car's ashtrays. Fill them with baking soda and they'll keep your car fresh without those annoying pine tree-shaped air fresheners. Replace the baking soda every two or three months.

Instead of throwing baking soda away when it's fulfilled it's 30-day stint in your fridge, dump it down the garbage disposal with running water. Baking soda will keep your disposal fresh, too!!!!

"MAKE BETTER COFFEE"

Combine 1/4 cup baking soda with 1 quart water and run it through your coffee maker as if you were making a cup of coffee. The baking soda will get rid of any mineral deposits that have built up inside. After your baking-soda cycle, run a pot full of plain water through. Now you're ready to make some of the best-tasting brew to ever come out of your old coffee maker!!!

"Cleaning Makeup Brushes"

If you're having trouble getting your makeup brushes and sponges clean, make a simple cleaning convent. Combine 1/2 cup baking soda with 2 tablespoons water and mix together. Then add the resulting paste to one more cup of water and a half a cup of fabric cleanser. Dip your brushes and sponges in the final solution, rinse clean, and reshape before allowing to air dry.

"Brighten Yellowed Sheets"

Make yellow sheets white again by soaking them in a tub with warm water along with a cup of salt and a cup of baking soda. Rinse well and dry.

"Crystal-Clean Crystal"

To clean your cut crystal, mix a teaspoon of baking soda with warm water, then dab it onto the crystal with a soft rag. Rinse with water, then buff with a dry, soft cloth.

"Cleaning Battery Leaks"

If battery acid leaks inside the compartments of your appliances, there's no need to throw them away. Simply take few spoonfuls of baking soda and add water unit it's the consistency of toothpaste. Spread it on your battery terminals, let it sit 15 minutes, and wipe clean. The acid should come off easily.

"Stainless Steel Wonder"

To get the cleanest bathroom fixtures you've ever seen, apply to paste of vinegar and baking soda to stainless steel faucets, knobs, and towel bars. Lay old towels or rags on top and wait one hour, then buff off. Rinse the fixtures and then let them dry for sparkling fixtures without a hint of water marks.
